Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for bookings, instant consultations, memberships, and other paid services offered by LawCrust Global Consulting Ltd ("LawCrust") through its website and mobile application. By making a payment, you agree to this Policy.

1. What Is Refundable

  • A scheduled consultation may be cancelled and refunded in full if cancelled within the cancellation window described below, before any lawyer has begun work on your matter.
  • Payments collected in error, or duplicate charges for the same booking, are refunded in full.
  • If a consultation cannot be delivered due to a fault on LawCrust's side (for example, the assigned counsel is unavailable and no alternative is arranged), you are entitled to a full refund or a free rescheduling, at your choice.

2. What Is Non-Refundable Once Work Begins

Because legal services involve professional time and preparation, the following are non-refundable once the service has started:

  • A consultation that has already taken place, in whole or in part.
  • Instant / express consultations, which are pay-first and connect you to counsel immediately.
  • Document drafting, review, vetting, or research once a lawyer has begun work on it.
  • Fees for work already performed under a written engagement.

3. Cancellation Window

For scheduled consultations, you may cancel or reschedule without charge up to 4 hours before the booked time. Cancellations made after that window, or no-shows, are not eligible for a refund, although LawCrust may offer a one-time courtesy reschedule at its discretion. Instant / express consultations cannot be cancelled once a session has been initiated.

4. Memberships & Subscription Plans

Subscription plans (such as LawCrust One) renew for successive billing periods. You may cancel a plan at any time to stop future renewals; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and the current period is not refunded on a pro-rata basis unless required by law. Benefits already consumed during a period are not refundable.

5. Failed, Pending & Duplicate Payments

Payments are processed through our payment partner, Cashfree. If a payment fails or is left pending, no service is confirmed and any amount debited is automatically reversed by your bank or the payment partner, typically within 5–7 business days. If you are charged more than once for the same booking, the duplicate amount is refunded in full once verified.

6. Refund Processing Timeline

Approved refunds are initiated to the original payment method. Once initiated, the amount is typically credited within 5–7 business days, subject to your bank or card issuer's processing time. Refunds are made in the currency of the original transaction.

7. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation

You can cancel a scheduled booking from the LawCrust app, or request a refund by contacting our support team at inquiry@lawcrust.in with your booking reference and the reason for the request. We aim to acknowledge requests within 2 business days.

8. Disputes & Escalation

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of a refund request, you may escalate it by writing to inquiry@lawcrust.in with the subject line "Refund Escalation". We will review escalations and respond with a final decision.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from it is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Mumbai. This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
